When it comes to desktop computers, we see a lot of PC components inside the CPU and in your PC setup like monitor, keyboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, etc. Even laptops also have all these components but in a compressed version.
So, we will figure out first with the laptop information and then we will go to the desktop computers.
Laptop’s Brand
It is so simple to find and conclude which laptop brand you have by just looking at your laptop. Just look at your laptop’s top – you’ll find the laptop’s brand name or logo.
Some of the popular laptop brands are Apple, Microsoft, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS, MSI, etc.
If your laptop’s brand name is not listed here, then it might be your country’s local brand.
Laptop’s Model
When it comes to laptop models, every manufacturer has their own name to their unique product. Now the question is, if we already have a brand name, then why do we need a model number for a laptop?
Let’s get this thing clear.
In the computer world laptops is a different category compared to desktop computers. In laptops, we can find different brands with their unique design, product quality, and performance.
However, a laptop manufacturer can’t stop producing one or two laptops. Let’s say Apple MacBooks (Apple laptops, also called MacBooks). If I told you that I have a MacBook, then you may raise a question like how old is your MacBook, what processor is in it, and what features it has like.
These common questions will be clear with the unique model number of a laptop. If I need to tell my laptop with a model number, then I would say “MacBook M1”.
Here M1 is the model of a laptop and it came from its processor M1 chip. It is Apple’s first processor in their laptops.
You can find answers to all the related questions like in which year the laptop was launched in the market, their performance, and all those things.
Now here the question is how to find the model number of a laptop.
In your Windows laptop, go to the search bar type system information, and click Enter. Then the system information page will pop up. There you can find your laptop model under the system name.
On your MacBook, move your cursor to the Apple icon at the top left. And right-click on it. Then select the system information option. A pop up will appear with the model of your MacBook.
Laptop’s Operating System
No wonder that you are using either Windows or Apple operating system. Because they are stable, more comfortable, and secure than other operating systems.
To find what operating system you have on your laptop, you’ll definitely need to know what is Windows and Apple in technology (at least their logos).
Apple’s operating system for MacBooks is called MacOS. And Windows operating system in Microsoft Surface laptops, other laptops, and desktop computers called WindowsOS.
There are different versions in both MacOS and WindowsOS. These companies upgrade their OSs with time for better security and performance.
In Windows laptop you can find Windows operating system version here. Windows icon >> Settings >> System >> About >> Windows specifications.
To find the MacOS version on your MacBook Apple icon >> About system.
